IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi, May 19: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has once again targeted the central government over industrialist Gautam Adani. On Tuesday, he raised questions on social media directed at the Prime Minister regarding whether there was any personal request made to Norway’s pension fund to remove the Adani Group from its blacklist.

Rahul Gandhi stated, “We are getting very good information these days. Modi ji, did you personally request Norway to agree to remove Adani from their pension fund blacklist?”

The opposition is attempting to put the government under pressure over the international controversy surrounding the Adani Group. Rahul Gandhi has previously repeatedly criticized the central government and the Prime Minister on the Adani issue, alleging that the government shows preferential treatment toward the industrial conglomerate.

Norway’s government pension fund is considered one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds. Its decisions are viewed as significant in terms of international investments and corporate policy oversight. In the past, the fund has placed several companies under observation or blacklisted them due to concerns over environmental issues, labor policies, and corporate governance. Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks have sparked renewed political debate and controversy.
