Odisha Police Arrest Female Priest and Sons for Alleged Human Sacrifice
Odisha (July 31,2023) : Odisha police have arrested a female priest and her three sons on charges of human sacrifice. The arrests were made after the body of a 14-year-old boy was found in the priest's house in Kiyakat, Odisha. The boy's body was found with multiple stab wounds. The police believe that the boy was sacrificed in a ritualistic manner.
The priest, identified as 50-year-old Ritanjali, has been a practicing priest for over 20 years. Her sons, who have been arrested, are all in their twenties. The police are still investigating the case. They are trying to determine the motive for the sacrifice and whether any other people were involved.
