Another feather in Modi's cap: Prime Minister conferred with Slovakia's highest honour.
IIE DIGITAL DESK ; New Delhi and Bratislava, June 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s crown as he has been conferred with Slovakia’s highest civilian honour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded the country’s top distinction, “The Order of the White Double Cross (First Class),” by Slovakia.
The honour was presented to him by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini during an official ceremony. This marks the 33rd international honour conferred upon Prime Minister Modi by a foreign nation, further highlighting his growing global recognition.
The Order of the White Double Cross (First Class) is the highest state honour of the Slovak Republic. It is awarded by the President of Slovakia to distinguished foreign personalities in recognition of their exceptional contribution towards strengthening friendly relations with Slovakia, as well as for their special support towards the country’s foreign policy interests and its position on the international stage.
The award to Prime Minister Modi reflects Slovakia’s acknowledgment of his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations and promoting diplomatic cooperation between the two nations.
