Completing 4,399 consecutive days in office, Modi has surpassed the record previously held by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. The historic milestone has sparked celebrations within the government, with several senior Union ministers extending their congratulations and praising his leadership and contribution to the nation over the past twelve years.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated Prime Minister Modi on reaching the landmark and described it as a historic moment in India’s democratic journey. In his message, Shah stated that Modi’s twelve years in office represent an era marked by the restoration of India’s pride, a cultural renaissance, and efforts to free the nation from what he termed a colonial mindset. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also congratulated the Prime Minister on completing 4,399 days in office and becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in Indian history. In his message, Singh described Modi as a tireless leader guided by the principle that the nation comes first. He stated that Modi’s tenure reflects unwavering dedication to India, a firm commitment to public welfare, and transformative leadership in service of the country.

Rajnath Singh, this achievement demonstrates the enduring trust that the people of India have placed in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and his relentless efforts to promote inclusive development and good governance. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also expressed her happiness and congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the historic accomplishment. In a message shared on social media, she noted that Narendra Modi has set a new record as India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. She emphasized that for the past 4,399 days, the Prime Minister’s Office has provided strong and decisive leadership in navigating a wide range of national challenges and opportunities.

Sitharaman stated that the guiding philosophy behind this journey has been “Antyodaya,” the principle of uplifting the last person in society. She highlighted the government's commitment to the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,” which seeks to ensure that the benefits of development reach every citizen, regardless of how far they live from the national or state capitals.
