Amidst repeated disruptions in both House and Parliament, the exchange occurred. Several members of Parliament carried placards with slogans such as "Amit Shah Jawab Do" that demanded answers from the Home Minister.

The incident was the subject of an adjournment motion notice submitted by Congress MP Manickam Tagore in the Lok Sabha, with his claim that the students protesting were subject to excessive force and intimidated.

The government and the Opposition are now facing mounting tensions during the Monsoon Session due to their confrontation. Despite the Opposition's continued demands for Shah presence and a comprehensive conversation, the government has maintained that parliament should function as usual. The government is now under pressure to consider the opposition sentence with Raja Ramakrishnan, while the political impasse over the protest-linked police action persists.
