Uttarakhand, 19 July, 2023 : A transformer explosion in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, killed 15 people on Wednesday. The explosion took place at a substation in the Chamoli town area.The dead include a police sub-inspector, two constables, and a child. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the explosion is not yet known. However, it is believed that the explosion may have been caused by a short circuit. The explosion caused a power outage in the area.
