Uttarakhand, 19 July, 2023 : A transformer explosion in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, killed 15 people on Wednesday. The explosion took place at a substation in the Chamoli town area.The dead include a police sub-inspector, two constables, and a child. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the explosion is not yet known. However, it is believed that the explosion may have been caused by a short circuit. The explosion caused a power outage in the area. Power supply has been restored to some parts of the area, but it is still not available in other parts. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
