New Delhi (August 17,2023) : A Southwest Airlines pilot died in the bathroom of a Miami-bound flight on Tuesday, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Orlando. The flight, which was carrying 142 passengers and five crew members, was en route from Phoenix to Miami when the pilot fell ill and went to the bathroom. The co-pilot then declared an emergency and diverted the plane to Orlando International Airport. The pilot was pronounced dead at the airport. The cause of death has not been released. The passengers and crew were taken off the plane and transferred to another flight to Miami.

The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration. The incident is a reminder of the importance of pilot health and safety.
