Paresh Rawal clarifies Kartik Aaryan was not playing Akshay Kumar's role in Hera Pheri 3
IIE Digital Desk : Actor Paresh Rawal has clarified that Kartik Aaryan was not playing Akshay Kumar's iconic role of Raju in the upcoming film Hera Pheri 3. The clarification came after reports that Aaryan had been replaced in the film due to his alleged unprofessional behavior. "There is no truth to the reports that Kartik Aaryan was playing Akshay Kumar's role in Hera Pheri 3," Rawal told PTI. "He was never approached for the role." Rawal also said that the film is still in the scripting stage and that no actor has been signed yet.
"We are still working on the script and we will announce the cast once everything is finalized," he said. The original Hera Pheri, which released in 2000, starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The film was a huge success and spawned two sequels, Hera Pheri 2 (2004) and Phir Hera Pheri (2016). The third installment of the franchise has been in the works for several years, but it has been delayed due to various reasons. It is now expected to go on floors later this year.
