IIE Digital Desk : The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has made some cuts to Karan Johar's upcoming film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The cuts include the removal of abusive words, references to the Lok Sabha, and a dialogue mentioning West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The CBFC has said that the cuts were made to ensure that the film is suitable for all audiences. The board has also said that the film has been cleared with a U/A certificate, which means that it is suitable for children above the age of 12. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi. The film is scheduled to be released on July 28, 2023.
