IIE DIGITAL DESK : The remarkable achievement for Bollywood, 'Raid 2', the sequel to the 2018 hit 'Raid', has crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the global box office within just nine days of its release. The film, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and starring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, has garnered a worldwide gross of ₹136.08 crore, securing its position as the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025 so far. 

Released on May 1, 2025, 'Raid 2' continues the story of IRS officer Amay Patnaik, portrayed by Ajay Devgn. The narrative picks up seven years after the events of the first film, with Patnaik undertaking his 75th raid in the fictional town of Bhoj, Rajasthan. This time, he targets the corrupt politician Manohar Dhankar, also known as Dada Manohar Bhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh. Ajay Devgn's portrayal of Amay Patnaik has been lauded for its intensity and depth, while Riteish Deshmukh's performance as the antagonist marks a significant departure from his usual comedic roles. Deshmukh's portrayal of a corrupt politician adds a new dimension to his acting repertoire, showcasing his versatility.
