Hero teases new Karizma with 210cc engine, 6-speed gearbox
IIE Digital Desk : Hero MotoCorp has teased the upcoming new Karizma motorcycle, confirming that it will be powered by a 210cc, DOHC, 6-speed engine. The teaser video shows the motorcycle's engine and exhaust, which are both shrouded in black covers. However, the video does reveal that the engine will have a 6-speed gearbox, which is a first for the Karizma brand.
The new Karizma is expected to be launched in India in the coming months. It will compete against motorcycles like the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Karizma was first launched in India in 2003 and quickly became a popular motorcycle among enthusiasts. However, the brand lost its appeal in recent years due to competition from newer motorcycles. The new Karizma is Hero's attempt to revive the brand and regain its lost market share. The motorcycle is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh.
